OMAN OIL MARKETING COMPANY INTRODUCES CAFÉ AMAZON TO ITS SERVICE STATION PORTFOLIO

Oman Oil Marketing Company recently signed a Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with PTT Public Company Limited (PTTPLC) to introduce Café Amazon, a specialized Thai coffee house, at its Ghobra Beach service station. The agreement was signed by CEO of Oman Oil Marketing Company and PTTPLC representative, Jiraphon Kawswat, Senior Executive Vice President, Oil Business Unit. The signing ceremony was attended by Tevin Vongvanich, President and Chief Executive Officer, PTT Public Company Limited.

CEO of Oman Oil Marketing Company, said, “Café Amazon is a welcome addition to our growing list of Quick Service Restaurants (QSR). This truly reflects our commitment to deliver the best products and services for our customers. In today’s fast-moving world, we understand the need for convenience, quality and a one stop shop experience. This is exactly what our service stations are geared to become.”

Auttapol Rerkpiboon, Chief Operating Officer, Downstream Petroleum Business Group of PTTPLC, said “This is a significant step for PTTPLC to enter the Omani Market and to introduce Café Amazon for the first time in the Middle East. Launched in 2002 in Thailand by PTT Group, Café Amazon was initially aimed at providing a complete experience to customers of PTT stations. It eventually branched out to other areas and countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Japan, the Philippines, and most recently Oman.

Today, Oman Oil Marketing Company has over 25 brands in its 197 service stations across the Sultanate. Some of the recognized brands include Burger King, Dairy Queen, Costa Coffee and Subway among many more. The service stations also are offering different services like ATM machines and telecommunication kiosks.
