OOMCO is currently constructing a Greenfield bunker terminal at the Port of Duqm. This full-fledged terminal will consist of 30,000 m3 tankage, pipelines, pump sets, valves, electrical and mechanical equipment, together with civil, structural works and roadways with all other required ancillary facilities. As per the project timeline, our terminal will be fully commissioned mid-2021: the timing is planned to broadly align with project development at the Port of Duqm.

The terminal is capable of storing and handling both heavy fuel oils as well as lighter distillate products such as marine gasoil, and the facility will handle various grades of bunker fuel products as well as refined petroleum products, inclusive of IFO 180 Cst and MGO (marine gasoil) also automotive diesel type products. Marine lubricants will also be available from the terminal. Given the recent major change in international bunker fuel regulations as regards the requirements for low sulphur bunker fuels, the terminal has been designed to be flexible and will be able to handle all low sulphur fuel requirements from shipping customers. Such availability of bunker fuels, marine lubricants enhanced by other ship services provided by the port itself will further support the development of the Port of Duqm as an attractive shipping destination.
