Oman Oil Marketing Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Omar Ahmed Salim Qatan, has taken home the coveted Alam Al-Iktisaad Wal A’mal (AIWA) Award for ‘CEO of the Year’. Under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Ali Bin Masoud Al Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce & Industry and in association with Capital Market Authority, AIWA awarded Oman’s best performing companies as well as outstanding individuals who lead by example to steer this country towards prosperity and sustainable growth.
Commenting on his win, Engr. Qatan said, “Throughout my ten years as CEO of a proudly Omani company, I have taken lead from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Al Said as a true example of a leader who, with a clear vision underpinned by integrity and commitment, has inspired us to follow suit in our own roles. He has also taught us a great lesson that leadership is not a matter of title but one’s influence and ability to empower others to maximize their efforts.”
