In partnership with the Ministry of Education, Oman Oil Marketing Company (omanoil) has crowned Al Waha School Football Team as the champions of the third edition of the omanoil Football Tournament for Muscat Schools. Under the patronage of H.E. Saud Salim Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, the tournament ended with an exciting final match held at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
"This tournament is an extension of our aim to develop the national talent pool, beginning with the youth," said Hussain Abdullatif Al Balushi, omanoil\'s Acting General Manager of Human Resources & Administration, Corporate Services, Customer Service & Procurement. "We use sports as a medium to empower and cultivate the youth as it teaches discipline, integrity, dedication and teamwork. We at omanoil are committed to building the characters of tomorrow\'s leaders and creating platforms on which young Omanis are driven and encouraged to achieve their fullest potential."
580 talented footballers, aged six to ten from Government schools across Muscat have shown unwavering passion and perseverance throughout the month-long group stages. Out of the 58 schools that participated, Al Basae\'r School and Al Waha School Football Teams made it to the finale of the tournament. Al Waha Football Team scored the winning goal during extra time in a thrilling match that demonstrated technical skill and determination.
