Muscat, Oman, 8th May 2005
Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) today announced the winners of its staff awards programme, created for the hardworking teams employed across the country in Oman oil’s extensive network of filling stations. Awarded quarterly, the latest winners of the incentive scheme are the filling station staff at Al Khoud Village.
OOMCO’s Retail Manager, Paul Philips presented the well-deserved cash prizes to a delighted team.
Filing station Manager, B K Shetty, says: “It’s a privilege for us to win the award. Other omanoil filling stations were close, but we put a lot of hard work into it and managed to win the award.”
Jamal al Azki, Retail Business Manager at OOMCO, adds: “Put simply, it was Al Khoud Village’s high standards and strong performance over the last quarter that made this a well deserved award. We are pleased to share their success with them and congratulate everyone on their team work.”
Winners are assessed on fuel volume, customer service and site standards, with the successful teams operating the chosen service stations awarded substantial cash prizes, trophies and certificates, commending them for their hard work.
Customer service and site standards are evaluated by ‘mystery customers’ who are able to provide an accurate assessment of the experience of a ‘real life’ customer.
The company has been running an incentive scheme for a number of years. The ‘Performance Competition’ incentive scheme works on a quarterly basis setting out to credit those fuel stations that perform well over the course of three month periods.
Ensuring all fuel stations are on a level platform, fuel stations across the country are divided into three categories, according to size, with each category having seven winners.
